Lewisburg is a city in Marshall County, Tennessee, United States. The population was 10,413 at the 2000 census. It is the county seat of Marshall County. Lewisburg is located in central Tennessee, forty-eight miles south of Nashville and fifty-two miles north of Huntsville, Alabama along I-65.
Located in the rolling hills of Middle Tennessee, Lewisburg took its name from the explorer Meriwether Lewis.
It is also the World Headquarters of the Tennessee Walking Horse Breeders' and Exhibitors' Association.
